Call for vendors

The 5th Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 9am to 3pm at the Opelousas Civic Center. The Conference seeks to empower women 16 years and older  to take control of their financial futures. Our conference theme this year is: 

I am Woman! Hear me R.O.A.R.

The day will feature a continental breakfast, lunch, door prizes, guest speakers and breakout sessions presented by the USDA Rural Development, other state agencies,  and representatives from various Direct Sales Companies. Sponsorship allows us to offer the conference free to participants; however, participants are required to register.

The nonprofit organization, Family Strong Foundation, in collaboration with Idiot Bliss Entertainment is hosting an Evening for Ladies: Paint the Town Red Saturday, July 29, from 5pm to 10pm at the Opelousas Civic Center. An Evening for Ladies  is small business expo geared towards the needs and wants of the female shopper. The evening will spotlight good food, fine wine, and valued vendors in a relaxing atmosphere. The event is free. The evening features a cash bar and a shrimp dinner will be sold; proceeds benefit the Family Strong Foundation. Entertainment by Sounds of Elegance DJ & Lighting.

The vendor’s fee is 10% of the events pretax sales. The fee covers access to both events. During the conference your company may present a session showcasing your products or services; you may wish to scout for potential recruits. If you and your company are interested in presenting at the conference a Session Description of no more than 150 characters  are due to the conference coordinator ASAP for scheduling purposes and inclusion in the conference literature.

Lastly, the Family Strong Foundation is currently seeking sponsors to cover the cost of the conference for participants. If you and your company would be interesting in sponsoring the registration fee for one or more participants at the conference a donation of $25 per participant would be greatly appreciated.
